Natural resources are the foundation for land use and agriculture and have shaped the landscape and economy of Chester County for over three centuries. In recent years, County residents have come to realize that maintaining waterways, forests and hillsides is an economic issue as well as an ecological imperative. The draft Landscapes2 policies are intended to provide a comprehensive approach for protecting, restoring, and maintaining the County's critical network of natural resources.
